Patriarch of the vampire court, he helped establish The Elders with a system of justice to keep order amongst his world and to prevent discovery amongst the humans. Old, wise and tired, he wants to pass the sword of justice on to a new generation, capable of handling both his ancient world and the modern times. He tasks his top investigator, Svan, to recruit the next leader for the court.
